The body
as language

Joe Peach is a London-based performance artist whose work interrogates the threshold between the intimate and the spectacular. Drawing on traditions of endurance art, physical theatre, and sound composition, his pieces create environments where audiences become witnesses — and sometimes participants.

Trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Joe has presented work at Tate Modern, Barbican Centre, HAU Berlin, and at independent venues from Belfast to Tbilisi. His practice spans solo performance, durational installation, and collaborative works with visual artists and composers.

He is currently developing Tender Machinery, a new durational piece exploring labour and devotion, premiering in autumn 2026.

Peach performs with a rare ferocity and tenderness — you feel the weight of every gesture long after you leave the room.

The Guardian

A body at its limits, a voice that knows exactly when to go silent. Joe Peach is one of the most compelling artists working in live performance today.

Artforum

Soft Collapse left audiences transfixed. Peach moves between vulnerability and control with breathtaking precision.
